Audience Effect Theory

1.   An audience that is exposed to media/marketing material but doesn't actively engage with the content or messaging . 2.  An active audience   engages, interprets and responds to a media text in different ways and is capable of challenging the ideas encoded in it . 3.  This is the suggestion that audiences are always passive   and therefore take the intended message from the producer as if it was injected into their minds. This assumes no individual difference in audience members.  4.  The Times newspaper.  It tells audiences important information about politics, the world and more.  Video Game: People see the characters and wish they could be like them. TV shows. People are entertained from the shows. Social Media: People can build a new or stronger relationship online.

 WWW- There are some solid answers here but overall i think this is a valuable lesson in the standards we need to reach if we want a 7+ grade. With more depth and a focus on exam technique im sure you can get there. EBI- Time management and exam technique. You finished writing long before the end of the exam and yet your answers lack the depth for the higher levels. Annotating the unseen text will help add this depth and detail. You need to consider all the meanings that are being communicated in the text. 2) Read  the mark scheme for this assessment  carefully. Write down the mark you achieved for each question:  Q1. 1 Q2. 0 Q3. 3 Q4. 2 Q5. 2 Q6. 4 3. I was stronger on the first questions as they were easier to do for me.  4. Reception Theory

 1.   When the audience responds to the ideas in the way the media producer wants them to . 2. when the audience rejects the preferred reading, and creates their own meaning for the text . 3. That the teenagers are violent and notorious. 4.  The film is exaggerated with youth violence and how modern day gangs act. 5. The McDonalds advert presents the Big Mac as a simple burger as the picture presents a simple burger which people will enjoy more as they like will prefer simple things. The writing at the bottom will attract the customer to read it and will want to buy it more as it is also a big brand company. The ad is put in a context of being healthy and good for a person to be buying and eating without worrying about being unhealthy.
