Tatler CSP case study

  1) What different examples of   typography  can you find on the cover of Tatler? What are the connotations of the serif and sans serif fonts? The sans serif connotates a formal and proffesional way of presenting the magazine. As the magazine is for more posh people they might be more interested in it  2) How do the  cover lines  appeal to the Tatler target audience? They have bold writing for anyone to be able to read it.  3) What are the  connotations  of the Tatler colour scheme on this particular front cover? They have bright colours to attract the readers attention. 4)  How is the  central image  designed to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. the model, the mise-en-scene such as props, costume and make-up, body position, facial expression etc.)

Audience and Industry

Audience 1) Who is the target audience for Doctor Who? Has it changed since 1963? Despite the assumption that children were the main target audience for Doctor Who, the childlike pleasures of watching it were available to adults too, and Audience Research Reports provide evidence that adults did adopt a mode of viewing that enabled them to share viewing pleasures with their children. 2) What audience pleasures are offered by Doctor Who - An Unearthly Child? Apply Blumler and Katz's Uses and Gratifications theory to the episode. Make sure you provide specific examples from the episode to support your ideas.   1) How does this  His Dark Materials  trailer meet the conventions of a TV drama series? The trailer consists of action and suspense to hook in the watcher to watch the series. 2) What genre (or genres) are suggested by this  His Dark Materials  trailer? An action and suspense. 3) What kind of characters and narratives are introduced in this trailer? There is a main character introduced who is a women. There is another man who is destined to protect her. 4) What settings appear in the trailer? Mountains and beautiful scenery. Old abandoned buildings made out of bricks. Jungles. 5) Who do you think the target audience for  His Dark Materials  is? Give reasons for your answer. People between the age of 16-25. White males/females. 

BLACKPINK - How You Like That

1) What are BLACKPINK fans known as - and what would the demographics / psychographics be for the BLACKPINK audience? The average age of a K-pop fan is 23 years old, and over half are female . This young demographic has transformed K-pop into a social media phenomenon.   70.3% of blackpink's followers are female and 29.7% are male . Average engagement rate on the posts is around 2.66%. The average number of likes per post is 4314 and the average number of comments is 51. 2) What audience pleasures are offered by the music video for How You Like That? It offers the audience to see their favourite female singers present a music video which then goes on to be one of the most popular music videos in the world. It also pleasures them by bringing them all together and making a hit song. It also presents an image of connecting with the fans and them singing the main course.
